The biologic basis for surgical therapies

[摘要] Patients present to our dental offices, on whatever continent we happen to work, with a multitude of issues. There are many disease processes in the mouth – iatrogenic dentistry, lack of patient care, occlusal factors and systemic illnesses and conditions – that all play a role in the maintenance and/or replacement of gingival tissues, bone and teeth. Through the combination of in vitro and in vivo scientific research, study of the literature and examination of the current techniques and materials available to the dental profession, we have the ability to deliver optimal care to anyone who walks through our doors.
