Infections of the hand: an overview
[摘要] Infections of the hand are common entities that are frequently encountered by orthopaedic surgeons and primary care physicians in the emergency room.1 In 1993, Brown and Young suggested that major metropolitan hospitals should expect 25–50 admissions annually for serious hand infections.2 Acute infections of the hand are considered to be a significant cause of morbidity and mortality; when left untreated, they can lead to tissue destruction and loss of function or even permanent disability.
