The tactics and technique of musculoskeletal biopsy

[摘要] The basic concept of modern medicine is that treatment is based upon accurate diagnosis. In musculoskeletal problems and abnormalities, the diagnosis is frequently based upon pathological examination of a specimen taken from the lesion. This is termed a biopsy. The label of ‘biopsy’ refers to the process of removal of the piece of tissue itself, as well as the examination of that sample by an appropriate specialist.
