A HYBRID MODEL: THE FUTURE OF HEALTH EDUCATION IN INDONESIA

[摘要] We cannot deny that now we are facingthe fast paced, complex healthcareenvironment, where we must deal withissues such as advanced technology,increased patient acuity, aging populationand complex disease processes. Thus, as apublic health educator, we are demanded toprepare our health practitioners to becompetent and professional.By far, the most effective way toimprove the competency of public healthpractitioners is through education, whichassist them at all levels of experiences.However, to ask our health staffs tocontinue their education is quitechallenging due to several barriers such asfamily and long distance, as we know thatour public health practitioners are filled bygen X or even baby boomers. Therefore, ahybrid education model should be one ofthe solutions.
