Opportunities for Healthcare Research in India

[摘要] We have enormous opportunities for translationalresearch to improve the therapeutic approach in the mostdominant pathologies.Studies have been conducted in India on healthissues like malaria, tuberculosis, and malnutritionrelated deficiency diseases. Innovative research hasbeen conducted in the country on the issues like irondeficiency anaemia, diarrhoea and dehydration, theeffects of iodised salt on goitre, and the enrichment offoods. The anticipated benefit from these results has notbeen fully realised due to insufficient implementationand constraints in implementing the research findings.
