[摘要] Buckling-restrained braced frames (BRBFs) havebecome a well-established lateral-force-resistingsystem for steel construction. Buckling-restrainedbraces implemented in steel structures have been shownto possess enough rigidity to satisfy structural drift limits, provide significant energy absorption, and reduce forces onfoundations and adjacent members.1–4 Testing proceduresfor buckling-restrained brace subassemblages and designprocedures for steel structures using buckling-restrainedbraces have been codified in the American Institute ofSteel Construction’s Seismic Provisions for Steel Buildings(AISC 341) since the 2005 edition.5,6 In contrast, there is aninsufficient amount of laboratory experiments from whicha codified method of design for BRBFs for precast concretesystems can be developed and, before the study described inthis paper, no U.S. laboratory experiments had been conducted on the seismic performance of these systems.
