Behavior of reinforcing bar connections of hollow-core slabs to masonry walls under in-plane forces
[摘要] Hollow-core slabs are commonly selected to spanlarge areas in residential and industrial buildingswhere clear and open spaces are required. In 2016,it was estimated that more than 50 million m2 (538 millionft2) of hollow-core slab floors have been constructed inCanada since 1962.1 These slabs have relatively lightweightand shallow cross sections compared with other precast, prestressed solid concrete slabs with similar load-carryingcapacities. The voids in hollow-core slabs eliminate up to50% of the concrete volume in the geometric center of thesection, where the slabs do not carry flexure, allowing longerspans, reduced deflections, and smaller section heights.
