Spontaneous Uterine Rupture after Uterine Arteries Embolization for Adenomyosis
[摘要] Background: Uterine artery embolization (UAE), as an interventional procedure, was considered a conservative treatment for symptomatic uterus fibroids or adenomyosis, especially for preserving uterus. Case Report: Here we present a case of spontaneous uterine rupture at posterior wall during 24th week of gestation after uterine artery embolization six years ago in the treatment of adenomyosis. The patient in this case had ruptured posterior wall of uterus during her pregnancy just on the site of adenomyosis lesion. Conclusion: A high index of suspicion for uterine rupture is required following UAE in patients presenting with abdominal pain.
