Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy of Macromolecules Using Maximum Entropy
[摘要] Semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) have attractedwide interest in chemical sensing applications such as bioimaging because of their unique size-dependent propertiesand robust luminescence.1−3 To dissolve semiconductorQDs in water, their surfaces are coated with hydrophilicgroups. Various ligands are then bound to the surface ofthe QDs in order to bind them to specific compounds.These surface treatments increase the nonspecific bindingof QDs and can cause their aggregation.4−6 Fluorescencecorrelation spectroscopy (FCS) is a sensitive analyticalmethod that measures the concentration and diffusioncoefficient of fluorescent molecules by analyzing the fluorescence intensity fluctuation (based on photon countcorrelations) that occurs as the molecules pass through thelaser focus.
