[摘要] INTRODUCTION British athletes winning medals at the Olympics are thought to inspire the public to become more physically active. There is, however, limited evidence that any Olympic Games is associated with population-level increases in physical activity (PA). While the UK might not have topped the medal table in Tokyo 2020, it was among the first countries globally to set out PA guidelines in 2010, which were recently updated in 2019 to include subgroup-specific guidance (Figure 1).
