John Diamond Did Not Battle Cancer Bravely

[摘要] John Diamond’s book C: BecauseCowards get Cancer Too was publishedin 1998. Diamond was a journalist with aregular column in The Times who died ofthroat cancer and was married to no lessof a modern icon than Nigella Lawson.Re-reading it recently, I noted how littleit had dated, and his acute observationsremain pertinent. We may be talking moreabout cancer but we are using the samelanguage.
