Walking Training of a Vascular Sports Group

[摘要] Supplemental information is necessary for the contribution by Rümennapf et al. and supervised walking (1). In 1987, the German Society for Vascular Sports was founded, which has since merged into the German Vascular League. In November 1987, this society held its first congress at the Saarland University Medical Center in Homburg, Germany (2). The vascular sports group (SET) was founded on the occasion of the congress and has now been in existence for 33 years. In addition to supervised vascular training once or twice a week, individual walking training was also promoted there. Depending on the patient‘s condition, she/he should take one or two steps per second on a flat surface, at first only until the patient feels pain.
