Indispensable Assets for Rechargeable World

[摘要] This article is a brief introduction to lithium-ion batteries. People may be curious about lithium-ion batteries because they have the same in their mobile phones, laptops, etc. Def­initely, the 2019 Nobel Prize in Chemistry makes them more inquisitive. Therefore, this article depicts the basic concept of lithium-ion batteries, their diverse applications, and commer­cial prospects. Lithium-ion electrochemistry, including work­ing principle, battery materials, challenges in real-life oper­ations and their mitigation pathways, are vividly discussed herein.
