[摘要] This is the first part of a two-part series article. Recently, wehave been in the middle of a difficult time due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Pandemics or global epidemics are not new tohumankind; they have occurred many times in history. Thediscourse of epidemiology describes mainly the causal factorswhich need to be mitigated to prevent or combat the effects ofepidemics. In epidemiology, we are not concerned for a person,but rather every individual globally, to make life healthierfor all. In this article, we will discuss the basics of epidemiologicalpractice that scientists have used for centuriesto prevent epidemics with great results. Overall, we plan forbetter global health aided by epidemiology.
