Characterising Subgroups of a Group

[摘要] In Category Theory, we try to characterise mathematical objects via "structure preserving maps" which are also called morphisms. This contrasts with a more set-theoretic approach where sets are characterised by the elements which belong to them. The follow­ing elementary question about the subgroups of a group G arose in the context of a course on Category Theory.
