Nudging healthcare professionals to improve treatment of COVID-19: a narrative review
[摘要] The COVID-19 pandemic has placed unprecedented stress on healthcare systems worldwide and disrupted routine care. Healthcareprofessionals (HCPs) have had to quicklyimprovise and adapt to cope with a noveldeadly virus with uncertain treatment options, lack of evidence, and a shortage of medicalsupply and personal protective equipment. In an ideal world, clinicians would basetheir decisions on scientific evidence and bestpractices. In practice, however, behaviouralscience shows that decisions are affectedby emotional and cognitive biases, especially under stress.1 2 Understanding thebehavioural nature of decision-making isessential for designing processes that mitigate risks and improve the quality of care. This is particularly important because of thefast-paced developments characterising theCOVID-19 pandemic.
