Interpretation of the key issues of expert consensus on immunomodulatory therapies for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

[摘要] Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) is a heterogeneous disease.Its pathogenesis mainly involves airwayremodeling and alveolar destruction causedby inflammatory response, protease antiprotease imbalance, oxidative stress,apoptosis and imbalance of compensationrepair in lung structural cell.[1] More recently,researchers have devoted considerableattention to the mechanisms related toimmunology. Lung tissue structural cellsand innate/adaptive immune cells jointlyparticipate in and maintain the homeostasisof local tissue microenvironment. When therespiratory system is stimulated by differentsubstances, the regional immune systemshows different response characteristics,causing different physiological andpathological changes. Immunomodulatorytreatment of COPD is one of the hot issuesin clinical practices after the guidelines forthe diagnosis and treatment of chronicobstructive pulmonary disease (revisededition in 2021) was published.
