A Case of abdominal pain and diarrhea post immunotherapy: Hypophysitis associated with immune checkpoint inhibitors
[摘要] Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) arewidely used forms of immunotherapy thattarget different immune check points inthe body such as programmed cell deathprotein 1 (PD-1), programmed death-ligand1 (PDL-1), and cytotoxic T-lymphocyteassociated protein 4 (CTLA-4). Despitetreatment application in numerousmalignancies, these drugs can cause variousside effects affecting different organsystems, due to their broad spectrum ofaction. In this article, we review a case ofICI-mediated hypophysitis, which is one ofthe rarer forms of ICI-mediated toxicities. This case is specifically unique due to thevague and nonspecific presentation that ledto variable differentials before reaching thecorrect diagnosis.
