Comparison Of The Effectiveness Of Antibiotic Prophylaxis In Oral Surgery Department.
[摘要] Antibiotic prophylaxis means the administration of antibiotics before surgical procedures inthose cases when there is a possibility of postoperative complications or the possibility of transientbacteraemia. The methods are based on electronic literature, scientific papers which are reasearched inMEDLINE, PUBMED, LIBGEN, SCI-HUB and Google search engine. These studies were selected based on2009 to the present time, surgical intervention, type of therapy and antibiotic dose. Three surgicalprocedures such as the extraction of third molar, the placement of dental implant and infectiveendocarditis has been researched with similar studies where a comparison has been made between themand the prescribed antibiotic therapy to see which of the therapies is more effective. Almost all studieshave recommended antibiotic prophylaxis in these surgical procedures. In all three surgical proceduresantibiotic prophylaxis is recommended in order to reduce the chances of postoperative complications, provided that these patients have a higher risk of these complications.
