A Study On The Association Between TSH Values And Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR) Levels In Euthyroid Patients Of Metabolic Syndrome (MetS).

[摘要] This cross-sectional study was performed with the aim of studying the association between TSHvalues and estimated-GFR (eGFR) levels in euthyroid patients of Metabolic Syndrome. Hence the studywas performed in 94 euthyroid individuals with Metabolic Syndrome . The study was conducted in thedepartment of Diabetology, department of General Medicine and department of Biochemistry. It is foundthat there is a positive correlation observed between TSH values and eGFR levels in euthyroid cases withmetabolic syndrome. There is also a statistically significant negative correlation between uric acid valuesand eGFR levels in euthyroid cases with metabolic syndrome. Further studies to evaluate the relationshipof uric acid, TSH with eGFR in metabolic syndrome patients should be undertaken to confirm the resultsof our study.
