Magnetopause as conformal mapping

[摘要] An axi-symmetric two-dimensional magnetopausemodel is constructed by making use of the conformalmapping in the complex plane.The model is an analytic continuation of thepower-law damped (or asymptotically elongated) parabolic shape.The complex-plane expression of the magnetopauseopens the door to properly map the magnetopause and magnetosheathcoordinates from one model to another.
