ACE inhibitors and ARBs: Managing potassium and renal function
[摘要] Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors and angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) are used primarily totreat hypertension and are also useful for conditions suchas heart failure and chronic kidney disease, independentof their effect on blood pressure. This article reviews theindications for ACE inhibitors and ARBs and offers advicefor managing their adverse effects, particularly decliningrenal function and hyperkalemia.
