Severe hypercalcemia in a 54-year-old woman

[摘要] A morbidly obese 54-year-old womanpresented to the emergency departmentafter experiencing generalized abdominal painfor 3 days. She rated the pain as 5 on a scaleof 10 and described it as dull, cramping, waxing and waning, not radiating, and not relieved with changes of position—in fact, notalleviated by anything she had tried. Her painwas associated with nausea and 1 episode ofvomiting. She also experienced constipationbefore the onset of pain.
