Obstructive sleep apnea: A wake-up call for better outcomes
[摘要] For too many of us, a good night’s sleep is a rareoccurrence. Lack of quality sleep has profoundnegative effects on our health, safety, and wellbeing. An estimated 50 to 70 million Americans have sleep disturbances, including 10% to 17%of men and 3% to 9% of women with moderate tosevere obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).1 Not only isOSA highly prevalent, 82% to 93% of individualswith moderate to severe OSA are unaware they haveit, and it remains undiagnosed.
