Virtual and in-person care both here to stay

[摘要] In response to Dr Nicholas Pimlott’s editorial,1 Ibelieve virtual care married with in-person care willbe here to stay. Virtual care has strong benefits in apandemic, but in-person care is still the bedrock offamily medicine. Some patients I have had for morethan 30 to 40 years actually prefer virtual care, as itis difficult to get to the office owing to distance, age,and infirmity. A workable solution is possible withresponsible doctors and their patients. I am in anurban setting, and those in rural settings may find adifferent workable solution in their practices. I hopeit will be our choice and will not be a mandated, onesize-fits-all solution.
