A rare giant cardiac lymphangioma in adults
[摘要] Cardiac lymphangioma is a rare benign cardiac tumourand most of them occur during childhood. Recentarticles reviewed the current literature of 39 cases ofprimary cardiac and pericardial lymphangioma withdetailed analysis of clinical and imaging findings ofcardiac lymphangioma (1-3). Of these 39 cases, coronaryarteries were involved in only 11 cases with the rightcoronary artery and the first obtuse marginal branchof left circumflex encroached in 10 cases and one case, respectively (3). Details of imaging appearances werereported in 23 cases of cardiac lymphangioma includingchest X-ray (n=12), echocardiography (n=22), computedtomography (CT) (n=16) and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) (n=16) findings (3). To the best of our knowledge, there are no reports of comprehensive imaging analysiswith inclusion of all imaging modalities in the diagnosisof cardiac lymphangioma. A comprehensive correlation ofimaging findings with clinical data and pathology is of greatsignificance in assisting clinical diagnosis and decisionmaking of primary cardiac lymphangioma. Herein, wereported a case of asymptomatic giant cystic lymphangiomaadjacent to the lateral posterior wall of the left ventriclewith 4 years of follow-up results. This case highlights thebenign imaging appearances of cardiac lymphangioma withresults correlated with the pathological findings.
