Multimodal imaging findings in a patient with bilateral panuveitis secondary to Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection
[摘要] Herein, we report multimodal imaging findings of a Chinesechild with bilateral panuveitis secondary to Mycoplasmapneumoniae (M. pneumoniae) infection. M. pneumoniaebelongs to a class of Mollicutes bacterium, and commonlycauses atypical pneumonia in children and young adults.The main feature of mycoplasma infection is a respiratorydisease with extrapulmonary manifestations occurring inup to 25% of infected patients. M. pneumoniae has beenreported to cause ocular disease, with conjunctivitis beingthe most common outcome; cranial neuropathy, optic nervepapillitis, and anterior uveitis are rare outcomes (1).
