Percutaneous microwave ablation-induced pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm: a case description and literature analysis
[摘要] Pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm (PAP) is a rare medicalemergency associated with a high risk of rupture that maylead to life-threatening hemoptysis. If left untreated, therisk that rupture will lead to a life-threatening exceeds 50%;therefore, prompt intervention is crucial (1).Iatrogenic injury has long been recognized as a commoncause of PAP and may arise in the context of thermalablation for pulmonary tumors. A few PAP cases dueto radiofrequency ablation (RFA) have been previouslyreported (2,3), but only 1 case of PAP case been reportedas a complication of microwave ablation (MWA) relatingto delayed endobronchial coil migration after endovascularembolization (4). Herein, we present 2 cases of MWAinduced PAP treated with endovascular embolization andalert clinicians to this rare but fatal complication.
