Arterial ischemic stroke in a patient with co-existence of antiphospholipid syndrome and ulcerative colitis

[摘要] Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is a systematic autoimmunedisorder characterized by vascular thrombosis, andpregnancy morbidity with antibodies against phospholipidsor phospholipid-binding protein cofactors (1). Patients withinflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are at a higher risk ofthrombosis and APS. We describe a case of arterial ischemicstroke in a patient with co-existence of APS and ulcerativecolitis (UC), with varying imaging features during herhospital stay.
