Quality planning for impactful improvement: a mixed methods review
[摘要] Improving quality is about making healthand social care safe, effective, person-centred, timely, efficient and equitable.1 Qualitymanagement is a key component of any highperforming healthcare system.2 A well-knownand popular quality management model isthe Juran Trilogy: quality planning; qualitycontrol; quality improvement (QI).3 A recent90-day process by Healthcare ImprovementScotland (HIS) on Quality ManagementSystems concluded that the current approachto quality management in Scotland is ‘outof balance’, with a ‘lack of effective quality planning’.4 This review aims to help both management and improvement teams to understandthe specific components of quality planning, identified through improvement workin a Scottish context and supported by anappraisal of current literature.
