Yepez, 483 P.3d 576 (N.M. 2021), the New Mexico Supreme Court evaluated the admissibility of expert testimony regarding defendant Anthony Yepez's genetic predisposition to violence. Mr. Yepez sought to present this testimony to make the argument that he had a genetic predisposition to impulsive violence which made him unable to form the specific intent needed to commit the offense of murder.
