Transitional Hearing Requirements under the Kansas Sexually Violent Predator Act

On appeal, the Supreme Court of Kansas detailed the legally proper standard for continued civil commitment under the Kansas Sexually Violent Predator Act (KSVPA). The court also clarified the proper jury instructions vis-à-vis a “control” determination.
