Malaria: The end of the beginning

[摘要] Malaria is a dreadful disease caused by mosquitoes and there is continuous research going on for development of malaria vaccines. There is reduction in child mortality with spraying drugs and insecticides and a partially effective vaccine can be another useful strategy. The newly developed vaccine RTS,S' is now in phase III clinical trials and is the most advanced malaria vaccine.
