The collection of soil temperature data in intensive studies of ecosystems
[摘要] On the evidence of highly a~omalous (up to J6 pgUjl) water s~ples collected from a number of streams draining into the River Clyst and on the eastern side of the Exe estuary in Devon during an earlier geochemical reconnaissance in the Permian of south west England, detailed radiometric traverses were made, mostly in strea~ sections upstream of anomalous sites, of the area ~e~ween Littleham Cove and Larkbeare. The traverses revealed a widespread occurre~ce of radioactive reduction features including ura~iferous nodules of the type previously recorded from only ~wo sites near Littleham, throughout the whole 16 Km length of the area. RadioneT. ric readings(up to 100 vRjh) and uranium values (up to 2,000 ppm) L~crease with the increasing size of spots and nodules (up to 150~ diameter) a~d hi~~ values of other metals (V, eu, Ph, Zn, Ni a~d Co) have been recorded. A sequence of six separate nodular bands and six reduced zones have been observed in ~~e 160 m thick succession examined and a stratigraphical correlation attempted.
