Arsenic-free water still a pipedream

[摘要] Decontamination plants installed at wells throughout West Bengal are failing to reduce arsenic in local drinking water to safe levels. It is suggested that efforts to supply safe water should focus instead on purifying surface water as the arsenic was found to come from natural geological sources that were not recognized when the wells were dug.
