Infected birds poised to take flu virus south
[摘要] Thousands of migratory birds infected with the H5N1 avian flu virus are leaving China preparing to head home to southeast Asia, India, Siberia, Australia and New Zealand and pose a serious risk of spreading the infection. More than 10,000 birds will fly home in the next few months, and the officials urged Chinato implement large scale testing along with a control strategy, possibly involving mass culling or vaccination of wild birds.
