Flu gene discovery prompts calls for tighter monitoring
[摘要] Samples taken from pigs in South Korea have tested positive for genes from a flu virus strain that was created in a lab in 1940. The gene sequences were deposited in GenBank by researchers at Chungnam National University in Daejon, South Korea. The virus strain was derived from a 1993 virus related to the virus strain that caused the 1918 pandemic.
