Modelling soil and surface water acidification at the Sor Catchment, NW Spain: an assessment of the EU acidification strategy using the MAGIC model
[摘要] Profiles of wind speed and direction, air temperature and relative humidity as a function of pressure were obtained from 89 radiosondes launched during CD 104 in the Gulf of Oman, Strait of Hormuz and the southern Arabian Gulf. Good sampling of the troposphere was obtained approximately twice per day. The data are useful as a broad description of variations in the lower atmosphere during the cruise and for validating atmospheric correction schemes used in deriving sea surface temperature and sea level from satellite radiometers and altimeters respectively. The report shows the spatial distribution of the radiosonde launches; proximity to the coast could be important in interpreting the data. It also includes time-height sections of the quantities from which the temporal variations can be discerned. Finally, the report presents the data from individual radiosondes as vertical profiles as this often provides a clearer indication of regions such as the atmospheric boundary layer.
