Korean scandal will have global fallout

[摘要] Scientist Woo Suk Hwang was asked to retract his paper on the creation of embryonic cells from adult human tissue. His team reported that it had established embryonic stem-cell lines from the skin cells of individuals. Hwang admitted that there were errors in the stem cell paper but denied fraud. The concern about Hwang's work leave biologists with no proof that stem cells can be extracted from cloned human embryos.
