Flu officials pull back from raising global alert level

[摘要] The world last week seemed close to the edge of a flu pandemic, with official considering raising the threat level of a global pandemic to a level 4 or even5. Officials at the WHO revealed that many of the mild cases of influenza in Vietnam were testing positive for the deadly avian flu strain H5N1. This suggests that there was widespread human-to-human transmission of the virus.
