The influence of posture on the effectiveness of coughing

[摘要] The influence of different postures on the effectiveness of coughing was investigated. Twenty normal young women served as subjects rind the average airflow values were determined and standardized for each position. The best results were obtained in the upright position and this correlated perfectly with the underlying physiology.
