A full length play:‘Sounds like Home’ and accompanying critical analysis

[摘要] The script, Sounds like Home, follows the story of a young woman who returns home after three years of University to rekindle a relationship with her estranged father. Along the way she makes new friends, reacquaints herself with old ones and rediscovers her love of 1950’s records and nostalgia. Secrets unravel, characters self-destruct and people fall in love. Sounds like Home deals with issues of control, identify, violence and sexuality. The critical analysis of this script is a systematic reflection of the process involved within the writing of this script. It contains information on my original conceptions of the play, plotting, character development, working with actors and my process of re-drafting.
