Prediction of Impact-Induced Delamination in Composite Plates

[摘要] The bending stiffness mismatch method is examined for its ability to predict delaminations within multi-ply composite plates. Bending stiffness is found to be insufficient to predict delamination size through thickness. A combination of several parameters may be required to model delaminations resulting from an impact response.
