The use of Absorbed Impact Energy as A Damage Metric

[摘要] Detection and monitoring of in—service damage requires the use of suitable parameters and metrics to quantify the damage. The use of total absorbed impact energy is investigated in this work as a damage metric which can be used to correlate impact damage to changes in vibrational damping properties.
