Premises of formation and development trends of modern theater architecture

[摘要] A theater as an architectural form and as a performance art went through a long and difficult path of establishment and transformations before it reached its present state, which, however, continues to change constantly. This article considers the main stages of the theater architecture development. The authors analyze the structure of entertainment facilities within the framework of various historical periods and stylistic movements. They identify the factors influencing the formation and further development of this type of structures. The authors give examples of the latest architecture of theater buildings.
