Principles of Improvement of Large City Public Space (by Example of Irkutsk City)

[摘要] Based on the world experience and the features of modern society development, the authors identified ten quality indicators which are the principles for improvement and the criteria for the assessment of public spaces in a large city. The authors assessed distinctive public spaces in Irkutsk by these criteria and identified the qualities that need to be particularly addressed in each case study along with the general principles for public spaces improving in the historic city center.
