[摘要] The purpose of the present Act is to regulate matters relating to oil and gas in Indian lands. The underlying principle is that nothing in this Act shall be deemed to abrogate the rights of Indian people or preclude them from negotiating for oil and gas benefits in those areas in which land claims have not been settled.
