Oil Pollution of the Sea (Civil Liability and Compensation) Act, 1988 (Insurance of Ships) Regulations, 1992.
[摘要] These Regulations provide that ships, which carry 2,000 tonnes or more of crude or fuel oil, shall have insurance against pollution damage, which will meet the requirements of the Minister for the Marine. A ship registered in the State shall not carry in bulk a cargo of 2,000 tonnes or more of oil unless there is in force in respect of that ship a contract of insurance, or other financial security approved of by the Minister in respect of liability for pollution damage indemnifying the owner of
