[摘要] The main purposes of this Law are to establish an EEZ and to define the extent of the continental shelf, in accordance with the 1982 Law of the Sea Convention. With regard to the EEZ, the Law stipulates that an EEZ is established as a zone in which Japan exercises sovereign rights and other rights provided for in Part V of the Convention.
