The role of computational physics in the liberal arts curriculum

[摘要] The role of computational physics education varies dramatically from department to department. We will discuss a new computational physics course at Randolph-Macon College and our attempt to identify where it fits (or should fit) into the larger liberal arts curriculum and why. In doing so, we will describe the goals of the course, and how the liberal arts curriculum conditions the exploration of computational physics.
